- Abstract: The distribution of the refrigerant has a significant influence on the performance of the falling-film evaporator. The distributor is the key component in the falling-film evaporator, which determines the uniformity of the distribution of the refrigerant in the falling film evaporator. In this paper, the mathematical model of the refrigerant flow in the curly top surface structure of distributor was established and the model was studied using numerical simulations. The uniformity distribution of refrigerant in the distributor was analyzed. The result shows that the top surface of the distributors can improve the high speed refrigerant distribution near the inlet of the distributors, the header configuration with perforated baffle plate can avoid the middle speed getting larger, side speed is too small, the flow field is not uniform, the three rows of holes uniform discrete coefficients in the uniform plate are 0.11、0.09、0.15, respectively.
