- Abstract: Cu@Cu2 O/graphene nanocomposite was successfully synthesized by a facile one-step solovothermal approach. The in-situ formed Cu@Cu2 O nanoparticles were homogeneously anchored onto graphene oxide sheets, which were simultaneously reduced directly to form the graphene sheets, and the nanoparticles acted as the spacers to avoid the neighboring graphene sheets aggregating or restacking. The composite exhibits a specific capacitance of 100.9 F/g at 0.1 A/g, which is higher than that of Cu@Cu2 O nanoparticles (33.4 F/g). More importantly, the specific capacitance increases to 257 F/g after 1000 cycles at 0.1 A/g due to the electrochemical activation. The facile synthesis method and good electrochemical properties indicate that the nanocomposite could be a promising potential electrode candidate for supercapacitors.
