- Abstract : Alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency is a genetic disorder that is inherited in an autosomal codominant pattern and is connected with liver and/or lung disease. This disorder is identified in fewer than 10% of people, and diagnosis is frequently delayed due to the condition's nonspecific symptoms and rare occurrence.
