Abstract

Abstract : Ceria‐‐zirconia nanoparticles 2 nm in size and with an increased Ce 3+ ratio exhibit greatly enhanced scavenging performance for reactive oxygen species (ROS). In their Communication onpage 11399 ff., S.‐H. Lee, T. Hyeon et al. report the superiority of Ce0.7 Zr0.3 O2 nanoparticles in regulating inflammatory cells. They work as a potent ROS scavenger for multiple organ dysfunction in sepsis by reducing the mortality and inflammatory responses.
