Abstract : Evenly dispersed tungsten carbides with controlled phase compositions that exhibit an impressive capacity to carry out the regioselective hydrogenolysis of inert aryl ether C–O bonds instead of aliphatic C–O bonds to produce aromatic compounds are reported.
