Abstract

Abstract : Objective : The aim of this study was to test predictors of nursing empowerment and job satisfaction in nurses. Background : Nursing professional development leaders and Magnet® coordinators need foundational data on which to build interventions that will support and empower nurses on the journey toward American Nurses Credentialing Center Magnet® designation. Method : Secondary data analysis methods were used. Results : Overall, nurses perceived that they had moderate empowerment and were satisfied with their jobs. Conclusions : Study results support predicted relationships and can be used to guide interventions for, and development of, nurses.
