Abstract:: Abstract: A facile and highly efficient protocol for the one‐pot, four‐component reaction of ethyl acetoacetate, hydrazine hydrate, aromatic aldehydes, and barbituric acid has been developed using meglumine as an inexpensive, biodegradable, and reusable catalyst.
