Abstract

Abstract : O presente estudo propõe uma leitura da obra poética de Isabel Mendes Ferreira desde duas perspetivas críticas. Analisar-se-á a aproximação dos seus versos das tendências literárias actuais do pós-modernismo e como exemplo da literatura feminina em Portugal, e ao mesmo tempo contestar-se-á a aplicação total das teorias antihegemónicas e antifálicas aderidas àquilo que se tem designado como o pós-modernismo literário de finais do séc. xx por meio da análise da voz íntima, mítica e por vezes mística na sua obra. Ao reconhecermos a presença destes discursos na poesia de Ferreira, falar-se-á da teoria da deslocação paradigmática e da possibilidade que a mesma teoria servisse de ponto de referência para uma compreensão maior da suposta contradição que permeia a totalidade da sua obra. Abstract : The study presented here proposes a reading of Isabel Mendes Ferreira's poetry based on two critical perspectives. The approximation of her poetry toward literary tendencies such as Postmodernism and as an example of women's literature in Portugal will be analysed; we will simultaneously contest the absolute application of anti-hegemonic and anti-phallic theories ascribed to that which has been called postmodern in late twentieth-century literature by way of the intimate, mythical, and at times mystical voice in her work. Upon recognizing the presence of these discourses in Ferreira's poetry, we will then discuss the theory of the Paradigm Shift and the possibility that it may serve as a point of reference for a greater understanding of the assumed contradictions which pervade the totality of her work.
