Abstract

Abstract : ( BJOG. 2016;123:691–698) Pregnant women with sickle-cell disease (SCD) are generally considered to have a high risk of developing maternal and fetal complications. However, data from well-designed studies are limited regarding this topic. Therefore, this meta-analysis aimed to determine whether women with and without SCD have similar risks of pregnancy complications, and whether these outcomes differ based on residence in low-income or high-income countries.
