Abstract

Abstract : ABSTRACT: A midurethral sling is a common procedure for stress urinary incontinence in women. Tensioning of the tape used for the sling is an art, and overtensioning during surgery can lead to obstructive symptoms. A patient with new onset of lower urinary tract symptoms after sling surgery should be evaluated for possible voiding dysfunction. Sling incision does not always correct the obstruction and excision may be needed.
