- Abstract : Synthetic skin substitutes would benefit considerably from enhanced vascularization to nurture tissue repair. On page 577, A. S. Weiss and co‐workers enhance angiogenesis in wound healing in small and large animals by incorporating the human elastic protein tropoelastin into a dermal regeneration template. In this live mouse image, enhanced fluorescence reveals accelerated angiogenesis in the tropoelastin‐containing (E) over the standard template (I).
