- Abstract : High quality one-dimensional single crystalline cadmium sulfide selenide (CdS x Se1− x ) nanoribbons were synthesized and fabricated as the high-performance rigid and flexible photodetectors. Abstract : High quality one-dimensional (1D) single crystalline cadmium sulfide selenide (CdS x Se1− x ) nanoribbons were synthesized via a one-step metal-catalyzed physical evaporation route. The as-synthesized ternary nanoribbons were employed to construct two terminal contact photodetectors on both rigid (Si/SiO2 ) substrates and flexible polyethylene terephthalate (PET) substrates. The flexible photodetectors exhibited an ultrahigh current on–off ratio of about 4 × 10 6, a high responsivity of 1.24 × 10 3 A W −1, excellent reversible switching stability properties, and a response time and a recovery time of 0.56 s and 0.8 s, respectively. In addition, the as-prepared flexible photodetector displayed excellent mechanical and electrical stability. These results indicate that the 1D CdS x Se1− x nanoribbons are promising candidates for constructing rigid and flexible optoelectronic devices.
