- Abstract : In article number1700740, Yanyu Liang, Junhong Chen, and co‐workers report a novel copper‐based oxygen reduction electrocatalyst (Cu–N/C) facilely fabricated from copper‐doped ZIF‐8. The introduction of copper leads to not only a high‐surface‐area hierarchical structure, but also a unique hybrid coordination configuration of Cu 0 –Cu 2+ –N sites. Compared with commercial Pt/C, such highly open structures with unique copper‐based active sites render the as‐prepared Cu–N/C catalyst with comparable oxygen reduction electrocatalytic activity and superior stability than a zinc–air battery.
