- Abstract : The Cover shows a gold nanoparticle (NP) that is selectively decorated by iron species to form a catalytically active gold‐iron oxide (Au‐FeO x ) interface. In their Full Paper, C. Wu et al. explain that a simple, aqueous phase Fe promotion strategy can be adopted to transform inactive Au NPs deposited on SiO2, to an extremely active CO oxidation catalyst. Such a promotion is related to the selective generation of the Au‐FeO x interface, driven by the presence of the Au NPs. This work provides a concept for the efficient design and fabrication of highly active metal−metal oxide interfaces. More information can be found in the Full Paper by C.
