- Abstract : Tin monosulfide is an earth‐abundant non‐toxic semiconductor that has great potential for the production of chemical fuels out of sunlight. Integrated layers of orthorhombic SnS nanodisks can be derived from the structural phase transition of SnS2 particles. The ultrathin SnS films show an impressive photoelectrocatalytic hydrogen evolution rate, which is attributed to the bandgap widening, enhanced optical absorption and cathodic shift of the Fermi level. Thickness‐dependent variation in the physical, optical and electrical properties of the SnS films are further demonstrated. More information can be found in the Full Paper by Y. K. Kim, J.
