- Highlights: A new pattern of retinal ganglion thickness changes over time in patients with pituitary adenoma is proposed. Ganglion cell complex thinning was shown in patients without optic chiasma compression. Retinal nerve fiber layer thinning was shown only in patients with large tumors and severe optic chiasma distortion.
