Abstract

Abstract: A modified Julia olefination (Julia–Kocienski) reaction involving lactams has been developed, which gives the corresponding substituted exo ‐enamides in moderate to good yields. An application of this versatile transformation in the synthesis of spiroaminal fragments is also demonstrated.
