- Abstract : Utilizing nanomaterials in flooding techniques has the potential to enhance oil recovery. Abstract : Applying nanomaterials in nanoflooding is an emerging research topic in nanomaterials and petroleum engineering research. In this review, we analyzed the functions of nanomaterials during nanofluid flooding operations. We summarized different nanomaterials that have been reported to be used for nanofluid flooding in the lab. We concluded different factors that can control nanofluid flooding qualities. Lastly, we discussed the challenges and opportunities present in nanofluid flooding research.
