Abstract

Abstract : Complement is an integral part of the immune system and protects against infection. Complement-mediated immunopathology in many autoimmune diseases and syndromes has led to the therapeutic targeting of complement and to questions around the safety of complement inhibition. Here; I examine and clarify the risks associated with complement therapeutics.
