Abstract

Abstract: Clumsiness is a common presenting complaint to paediatric clinics. Referrals are primarily from primary care and may be made to a variety of paediatric specialities, including general, community, neurology, rheumatology and neurodisability. Epidemiological data are sparse although it has been suggested that a total of 5–6% of children meet the diagnostic criteria for the commonest cause, Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD).
