Abstract: This study examined whether intermittent fasting during Ramadan had differential effects on body composition, metabolic parameters, and gut hormone and appetite responses to a meal in people with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) compared with healthy controls. Ramadan decreased fat mass in T2DM but not controls, without effects on metabolic parameters.
