Abstract : In this issue of Cell Chemical Biology, Sakin et al. (2017) investigate the nanoscale behavior of the HIV-1 envelope (Env) glycoprotein complex by using genetic code expansion, bioorthogonal amino acids, synthetic dyes, and click chemistry.
