- Abstract:
- Abstract : This paper looks at Dolto's contribution to preventative interventions with the foundation of the Maison Verte in 1979. The author's intention is to show that this project brings with it an interesting development of psychoanalysis in the community. The author was part of a team setting up the first Maison Verte in the UK. Maison Verte -UK was established in 2013 as an independent non-profit organisation, financed mainly by public grant funds. The centre provides a free, three half-days weekly service, for pre-school children and their families. It offers a welcoming, non-structured and non-bureaucratic space for conviviality. This openness generates an unusual quality of encounter between children and their adults, through the mediation of the staff.
