Abstract

Abstract : The Cover shows a novel biocompatible enzyme carrier consisting of ZnGlu‐coated magnetic iron oxide nanoparticles (ZnGlu–MNPs), which were prepared by a simple electrostatic‐self‐assembly technique.In their Full Paper, G.‐H. Xia, S.‐L. Cao et al. describe the structural characterization of ZnGlu–MNPs and their use as enzyme carrier for the immobilization of Aspergillus niger lipase. The as‐prepared nanobiocatalyst (ANL@ZnGlu–MNPs) exhibited high catalytic performance, which is significantly superior to that of its free counterpart. The catalyst was easily recovered from the reaction medium by magnetic forces. Therefore, ZnGlu–MNPs are promising novel carriers for enzyme immobilization.
