- Key Clinical Message: Patients with myotonic dystrophy are at particularly high risk for cancer arising in the endometrium, brain, colon, or ovary. Giant leiomyoma can occur in patients with myotonic muscular dystrophy, a disease accompanied by muscle wasting.
