- Abstract : Mesocrystals are usually superior catalysts over individual nanocrystals due to the self‐supported nanostructure retaining a large surface area. It has now been demonstrated that Pt–Ag alloy mesocrystals can be obtained with exclusively octahedral morphology by manipulating the capping effect of surfactants. By a seed‐mediated mechanism, the mesocrystals can be synthesized in a highly controllable manner. The specific facet exposure and self‐supported structure make the mesocrystals excellent electrocatalysts with high activity and durability. More information can be found in the Full Paper by C.
