- Abstract: In this paper, we present a new multiband patch antenna array structure. The proposed antenna is designed for Ku/K and Ka satellite applications. The configuration of the antenna array is in the form of a set of dollar-symbol, fed by a microstrip line. The antenna designed is printed on a partial ground plane, and the resulting antenna has been found to possess a compact size of 20 mm × 20 mm, and covers specific bands from the frequency spectra. The first band resonant frequency is located at about 15.33 GHz, with -10 dB impedance bandwidth from about 13.9 GHz to 15.8 GHz, the second resonant frequency is located at about 23.23 GHz, with -10 dB impedance bandwidth from about 21.9 GHz to 24.7 GHz, and the high-band resonant frequency is located at about 31.68 GHz, with -10 dB impedance bandwidth from about 30.1GHz- 33.8 GHz.
