- Abstract : US companies Sun Chemical Corp and Modern Dispersions Inc have both recently introduced new black colorants for plastics. Sun Chemical's latest offering is a black pearlescent pigment that is reported to provide exceptional lustre, sparkle and jetness compared to similar pigments currently on the market. Elsewhere, Modern Dispersions has launched ECOBlack, a new line of black masterbatches made from 100% recycled carbon black from post-consumer tyres.
