Abstract

Abstract : In Mexico, AkzoNobel has significantly strengthened its global manufacturing footprint for organic peroxides by completing a €22 million expansion at its Los Reyes production plant. The new facility will produce Laurox brand organic peroxides, essential ingredients used in the production of plastics and rubber products. Applications for these chemicals include polymer modification, crosslinking of elastomers, curing of thermoset resins and optical polymers, flame retardant synergism, and the polymerization of various monomers.
