Abstract

Abstract: This paper is written in remembrance of Professor Dr. F. R. Erskine Crossley, Architect and Founding Member of the International Federation for Promotion of Theory of Mechanisms and Machines (IFToMM) and its first Vice President who passed away on 4 th February 2017. During his glorious life of 101+ years he has inspired many young engineers all over the world and established IFToMM. This paper is written in remembrance and to honor him for his many contributions to mechanical engineering which spanned over sixty years as a teacher, researcher, editor and engineer.
