- Abstract : Curvature-induced dipole moment and unique geometry can enhance micelle stability. Abstract : The topology of hydrophobic moieties can affect the stability of self-assembled micelles. Curved corannulene and flat perylene were selected as model hydrophobic molecules with poly(ethylene glycol) as the hydrophilic segment. The curvature can enhance the intermolecular π–π interaction, and hence the driving force of micelle formation.
