- Abstract : The stepping process of kinesin motors on microtubule networks is instrumental for neuronal communication. Transport deficits, e.g., by intrinsically misfolded tau protein may lead to a range of complications inside the cell, resulting in neurodegenerative dementia processes. It is shown that the addition of gold nanoparticles and epigallocatechin gallate can restore the impaired motor stepping on microtubules.
