Abstract : This is the first reported use of the metal-coordination property of tetrazine in the construction of luminogenic bioorthogonal probes and modulation of the inverse electron-demand Diels–Alder reaction kinetics. Abstract : The coordination of pyridyl–tetrazine to a cationic iridium(iii ) center affords a novel class of luminogenic bioorthogonal probes for biomolecular labeling and cellular imaging.
