- Abstract: Menstrual toxic shock syndrome (MTSS) is a rare and potentially life‐threatening illness. We present a case of recurrent MTSS initially associated with tampon use that continued to recur when tampons were discontinued, which was successfully treated with rifampicin and clindamycin.
