Abstract

Abstract : C-dot sensitized strong Eu 3+ luminescence is observed in Eu 3+ -doped LaF3 –C-dot nanocomposites via energy transfer. Abstract : Very strong Eu 3+ luminescence is achieved via sensitization by carbon dots (C-dots) in Eu 3+ -doped LaF3 –C-dot nanocomposites for the first time. This energy transfer via C-dots leads to the broadband excitation of Eu 3+ ions which can have potential use in phosphor based LEDs.
