Abstract

Abstract : Alcohol, tobacco and other drugs are responsible for significant contribution to the global burden of disease and injury. There are several contributions that the physician can make to reduce the burden that substance use contributes to the community, not only clinically but also through leadership and contribution to community dialogue and public policy.
