- Abstract : A series of 9‐substituted 10‐methylacridinium ions in which an electron donor moiety is directly linked with an electron acceptor moiety at the 9‐position has been synthesized and the photodynamics has been fully investigated to determine the rate constants of both the photoinduced electron transfer and back electron transfer. The driving force dependence of the electron‐transfer rate constants has been well analyzed in light of the Marcus theory of electron transfer. More information can be found in the Full Paper by K.
