Abstract

Abstract : In article number 1601417, Chong S. Yoon, Yang‐Kook Sun, and co‐workers report a compositionally graded Li[Ni0.61 Co0.12 Mn0.27 ]O2 cathode composed of rod‐shaped primary particles having a unique crystallographic texture. The cathode is able to maintain 84% of the initial capacity after 3000 cycles at 100% depth of discharge in a full cell with a graphite anode. This cathode could ensure operation of an electric vehicle for over 10 years with high specific energy density and economic advantage.
