Abstract

Abstract : (Abstracted from JAMA 2016;316(4):410–419) Late-preterm and early-term births occurring spontaneously or through obstetric interventions including labor induction or cesarean delivery are a cause for concern because of consequent risks of adverse neonatal and childhood outcomes. Hence, recommendations in the United States have been to decrease nonmedically indicated or elective deliveries before 39 weeks.
