Abstract: Large K2 TiF6 :Mn 4+ particles of 50‐100 μm size are prepared by direct Mn reduction from a purple aqueous solution containing KMnO4, KF, and K2 TiF6 in HF to which a 10% H2 O2 solution is added slowly.
