- Abstract : A biocompatible inverse electron demand Diels–Alder reaction of aldehyde and tetrazine mediated byl -proline is disclosed, with apparent k 2 up to 13.8 M −1 s −1 . Abstract : A proline-mediated inverse electron demand Diels–Alder reaction of aldehyde and tetrazine is disclosed. This biocompatible reaction is very fast (with apparent k 2 up to 13.8 M −1 s −1 ) and has been used in the labeling of bovine serum albumin in aqueous medium.
