Abstract : Ag-catalyzed [6 + 3] cycloaddition of tropone with homoserine lactone derived azomethine ylides has been developed. Abstract : Ag-catalyzed [6 + 3] cycloaddition of tropone with homoserine lactone derived azomethine ylides has been developed. The reaction works efficiently under mild conditions to give tricyclic spiropiperidines in moderate to excellent yields with excellent diastereoselectivities.
