Abstract : Printed electronics from two‐dimensional (2D) crystals, and specially graphene, is at the focus of science and technology at present. Despite the great promise few scalable applications of graphene in printed electronics have been reported which is related to difficulties in formulating highly concentrated and stable graphene inks that show high printing definition and are compatible with industrially relevant substrates, such as plastic and paper. Moreover, circuit or antennae designs are commonly not adapted to the graphene inks performance which is significantly lower than that of metal‐based inks. The cover article by Arapov et al. (pp.812–818 ) presents the design, manufacture and performance test of graphene‐based radio‐frequency identification devices on flexible substrates with a reading range of up to 4 meters. Most notably, the reading distance does not deteriorate after 1000 bending cycles, which renders graphene‐based conductors highly suitable for the realization of various printable wearable devices, where repeatable dynamic bending stress is expected during usage.
