- ABSTRACT: This paper presents the brightness and light-emitting diode (LED) synthesis ratios of three LEDs that minimize the quantization noise for the head-up display, consisting of a digital microdevice panel and red, green, and blue high-luminance LED, to increase the brightness of the display system. In this study, the operation ratio and junction temperature influencing the brightness of a green LED were analyzed. The results of this study demonstrated that the luminance of the head-up display exhibits a high increment by synthesizing the secondary colors (yellow and cyan) through a 39% LED-overlapping operating method. Moreover, the display reduced the quantization noise and obtained outstanding hue accuracy.
