Abstract: The Pd/Cu‐catalyzed reaction of xanthenes (I) with arenes (II) gives rise to 9‐aryl‐9H‐xanthenes (III) or 9, 9‐diaryl‐xanthenes (VI) depending on the reaction time and temperature.
