Abstract: Polycrystalline Ba2 MReO6 (M: Mg, Zn, Y2/3; Re 6+ (5d 1, t2g 1 )) are prepared by solid state reaction of stoichiometric amounts of BaCO3, MgO, ZnO, Y2 O3, and ReO3 (Pt crucible, 1000—1200 °C, 2 d).
