- Abstract : The traditional use of phosphorus compounds is as ligands for transition metals, however herein we synthesize Lewis acidic fluorophosphonium cation appended to a palladium complex and effect CO insertion into a Pd–C bond to obtain an unprecedented metal-benzoyl derived phosphorane.
