Abstract

Abstract : This article provides conceptual and operational definitions of the subjective experience of meaning. It reviews some of my empirical evidence showing how the experience of meaning is different from the experience of happiness. It then moves into metaphysics and attempts to characterize the nature of meaning on a much deeper level, one that must be understood using the intuitive rather than scientific aspect of the human mind.
