- Abstract: Urechitol A was synthesized as a racemate employing a [4+3] cycloaddition reaction and a methanol assisted intramolecular epoxide opening as key steps for efficient construction of the core tricyclic framework. The overall yield was 2.4% over 12 steps. Graphical abstract:
