Abstract:: Abstract: Chiral azetidines (I) react with isocyanates or isothiocyanates to form the corresponding urea intermediates, which undergo a completely regio‐ and stereoselective ring opening reaction to furnish oxazoles (IV) or thiazoles (VI).
